Nintendo has recently released a 5-minute overview trailer for Endless Oceam Luminous, which is coming to the Nintendo Switch on May 2nd, 2024. The trailer goes into a bit more depth about what players can get up to in the game as well as reiterate what we have already learned from previous trailers and what had been shared by Nintendo from the games first announcement up to now.
For starters, up to 30 players can join up and dive together via online play. Each player starts at a different location and can meet up to become dive buddies. You can share discoveries with one another and mark out creatures found by using emotes. This is helpful for those looking for a particular species of marine animal and are having trouble finding it.
As each dive is generated at random, they all possess their own Seed ID, which you can write down so you can dive the same location again at a later date and also share it with friends so they can explore it too.
With over 500 species of marine creatures to discover from current living animals to those that have long beem extinct, there will be plenty to keep players attentive on each dive as you never know what creatures you may see next.
One thing that I believe was new information shared in the overview trailer is that Event Dives are to be held regularly, which will give players the opportunity to discover new and unusual sights and creatures.

We seriously cannot wait for Endless Ocean Luminous to release on Switch. As experienced scuba divers and avid fans of the Endless Ocean games, we just know we are gonna love this game and will have no trouble sinking hundreds, if not thousands of hours into exploring the Veiled Sea.
