Tune in next week for something mysterious.
During a recent datamine of Pokémon Masters EX, it was discovered in the files that there would be a Pokémon Presents taking place on August 8, 2023. The data mine as it happens, would turn out to be utterly correct for The Pokémon Company has just announced that their own special kind of broadcast, will in fact be returning on August 8, 2023.
It has been revealed that the presentation will last around 35 minutes long but where this announcement differs from previous ones, is due to the fact a mysterious purple “M” is teased against a black background.
Due to the colouring and nature of the M, it makes sense that it is a possible Mewtwo tie-in, especially when there has been a recent focus on Mewtwo, who was added to Pokémon Unite last month. There was also a datamine of Pokémon Scarlet and a Violet, which revealed an upcoming 7 Star raid against Mewtwo.
As for what kind of announcements we can expect from the showcase, in the past, Pokémon Presents have proved to be unpredictable with some of their announcements, in terms of new games, but at the very least, we can expect a focus on the following mobile applications: Pokémon GO, Pokémon Café ReMix, Pokémon Masters EX and potentially Pokémon Sleep.
It’s also highly likely that we could get a new trailer for the upcoming The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC for Pokémon Scarlet & Violet. This trailer could even reveal a release date for Part 1: The Teal Mask and potentially reveal a new Pokémon. It is also possible we could get a trailer dedicated to Detective Pikachu Returns, the sequel to Detective Pikachu, which launches on October 6, 2023.
As for the M, other than possibly being the reveal of a Mewtwo raid, set to take place the following weekend after the presentation, we’ll just have to wait and see.
The next #PokemonPresents arrives soon, Trainers!
