*The Following Guide is a Work in Progress with more Stables & Rewards being added to it:

With The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom finally out in the wild, once more players can lose themselves in an expansive Hyrule, be it underground, on the surface or in the sky. As part of our efforts to provide helpful guides to help players get the most out of the new adventure.

In this focused guide we are covering how to obtain the Hylian Shield:

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom | How to get the Hylian Shield:

The Hylian Shield is back and just like in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, it is the best shield you can obtain in-game. It can be broken but when it is destroyed, players are able to purchase a new one.

As for where to get the Hylian Shield, you can get it any time after you have successfully completed all four shrines on Great Sky Island. Simply make your way to Hyrule Castle via the docks, just like you had to in Breath of the Wild, do your utmost best to avoid the Gloom Hands and then when you reach a piece of flat ground, next to two light torches and an unlit pyre.

Simply light the pyre to reveal the treasure chest containing the Hylian Shield and the item is yours. Of course, if you’re feeling really brave, since you are in Hyrule Castle, you can seek out the Champion’s Leathers for Link, an upgraded version of his Champion’s Tunic.

As always, we hope you found this guide helpful.
