ORIGINAL (18/05/2023): Hot on the heels of news pertaining to Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet getting a new software update next week, it has now been revealed it will include support for Pokémon HOME. It’s been a long time coming but players will finally be able to transfer Pokémon from Paldea into HOME. What’s more, as long as the Pokémon you’re transferring has data in other games, you can trade your favourite shinies into the likes of Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Sword and Violet.
Additionally, for those who do transfer their Pokémon into HOME, you can expect to be able to obtain a Sprigatito, Fuecoco and Quaxly, all with their hidden abilities. The update and Pokémon HOME support is expected on May 24, 2023. There will also be new challenges for those who enjoy using the mobile app.
Additional Features on Nintendo Switch:
From Version 3.0.0 onward, there will also be a variety of features added to the Nintendo Switch version of Pokémon HOME.
You will be able to exchange Pokémon HOME Points, which you can receive based on the number of Pokémon you have in your Pokémon HOME Boxes, for LP (League Points) that you can use in Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet. The more Pokémon you move to Pokémon HOME, the more items you can buy in Paldea!
You will be able to change the Pokémon details page to display information based on the games that Pokémon has been in. Doing so will allow you to check information about a Pokémon from whichever game you please. You can use this feature while viewing your Pokémon HOME Boxes without being connected to a game.
When bringing a Pokémon from Pokémon HOME into a linked game, you will be able to change the moves it knows from a list of moves it has learned up to that point. These moves are limited to moves that can be learned in Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield, Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl (some moves excluded), Pokémon Legends: Arceus, and Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet. This will allow you to have your Pokémon know the moves you want it to before moving it out of Pokémon HOME.
