After many months of waiting, the wait is finally over.
A new day has dawned on the Pokémon Trading Card Game and now the long-awaited Scarlet & Violet expansion is finally here and with it comes a set comprised of 198 base cards and an additional 60 secret rare cards, resulting in a whopping grand total of 258 cards.
Collecting them all will seem like an impossible task but when you see just how beautiful some of these cards are, how could you not want to own them? So, with that thought in mind, here is a complete look at the 258 cards that make up the Scarlet & Violet expansion, all in English:
Every Card in the Pokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet Expansion (English Base Set):
For those curious, there are twelve ex cards in the base set, with an additional 20 ex cards secreted among the secret rares. Most Pokémon given the ex treatment repeat at least twice, but there are exceptions where the likes of Spidops and Gardevoir appear three times each. Then you get the likes of Miraidon and Koraidon who each have four ex appearances. For another look at each ex card, we’ve got you covered right here:
Every ex Card in the Pokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet Expansion (English Base Set):
With the Paldea based games being the ones that gave us Tera types and terastallized Pokémon in the first place, it feels odd that we only have a total of four tera type Pokémon in the base set, but more are expected with future expansions, including a Dark Tera type Charizard card. In the meantime, we’re left with Gyarados and Arcanine being represented twice and because their cards look as gorgeous as they do, here they are again:
Every Terastallized ex Card in the Pokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet Expansion (English Base Set):
Of course, as far as Scarlet, Violet and all of Paldea is concerned in the TCG, things are just getting started as the next SV expansion has already been revealed, Paldea Evolved, and it releases on June 9, 2023. We can’t wait to see what cards await us there, but for anyone that wants even more TCG action, we have you covered as there are plenty of Black Star Promo cards to collect and we have a full guide dedicated to them right here:
