Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon

Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon comes out later this month on (March 17th) but that hasn’t stopped PlatinumGames and Nintendo from dropping a brand-new demo for the game on the eShop and when we say new, we do mean new. This is not the same teaser demo that appeared in Bayonetta 3 via an update. This is a full-on demo that will allow your save data to be carried over to the full game.

We have recorded some gameplay of Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon which can be viewed in the embedded video below. If you would like to know more about the demo, we also have the official press release courtesy of Nintendo UK.

BAYONETTA ORIGINS: CEREZA AND THE LOST DEMON – FREE DEMO NOW AVAILABLE ON NINTENDO ESHOP

Demo save data can be transferred to the full version of the game when it launches on 17th March 2023

8th March, 2023 – A free demo for Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon featuring the early chapters of the game is now available on Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch. Players who purchase Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon when it releases on 17th March 2023 can transfer their demo save data to the full version of the game.

The bewitching journey of Cereza and her demon companion Cheshire takes place in Avalon Forest, a place just as beautiful as it is beastly – and it has an appetite for wandering witches. The new Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon – A tale of adventure (Nintendo Switch) trailer provides a glimpse into the winding, whimsical woods that await Cereza and Cheshire.

Long before she would become known as “Bayonetta”, this trainee of the dark arts threw caution to the wind and ventured into the perilous forest. Any good story has a lesson about teamwork, so in this tale, Cereza and Cheshire coordinate their efforts to fight, adventure, and solve puzzles.

The left Joy-Con controller is used to move Cereza and bind enemies with her magic, while the right Joy-Con controller moves Cheshire to slash and chomp foes. With the game’s enchanting, storybook-inspired visuals, each area looks like it has been painted carefully by hand. By exploring the forest, players can find magical objects that will assist them. In addition, approachability options such as reducing damage or automating certain controls, can help newcomers and Bayonetta fans alike to enjoy the game.

A free demo for Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon is now available for Nintendo Switch on Nintendo eShop. Players can already experience the first chapters of the game and carry over their progress before the full game launches on 17th March 2023. A new trailer shows Avalon Forest and the perils that await the young witch in training Cereza and her demon Cheshire.
