Summer maybe over but not for Ouroboros. It’s time to get those Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Swimsuits!
The first wave of DLC is out now for Xenoblade Chronicles 3 and it brings a new hero quest, challenge mode and the series favourite; Swimsuits! However, you won’t have access to everything straight away. First, you have updated your game to version 1.2.0. Then you will need to boot up the game and go to the main menu.
From here you will need to select the Expansion Pass option at the bottom of the list. You can then select Wave 2 and press Y to receive the content. That’s part one our of the way which gives you access to the content. Now on to part two.
After receiving the additional content, you will be able to accept the Hero Quest for Ino or embark on finding the Nopon Archsage. For this guide we will focus on the latter as it is from the Nopon Archsage where we can obtain the swimsuits.
To find the Nopon Archsage, you must go to Llyn Nyddwr Camp in the Fornis Region (just south of the central part of the map (bear in mind that you will need to clear Chapter 3 in order to access this quest). Here you will find an anomaly that will trigger a short cutscene where your party will be transported to the realm of the Archsage. After the cutscene, The wise Nopon will allow you to take on challenges that will net you certain rewards upon reaching A Rank or higher. The first six challenges will unlock the first set of swimsuits and the second six challenges will unlock a second colour variant. The second six challenges require you to complete Ascendsion quests for select heroes as well. All challenges can be done on Easy, Normal, or Hard Difficulties and the first-time rewards are the same for all three difficulties and can be claimed only once.
The first six challenges are as follows:
- Defenders’ Gut Check
- Insecticide
- Philharmonic Dust-Up
- Six Angry Beasts
- Vampiric Rush
- Black Castle Chosen

As for the second lot of challenges with the alternate swimsuit rewards, they are:
- Ocean Day Parade
- Pretty Fierce
- Ouroboros Fever
- Ferrol X Ferron
- Double Jeopardy
- Arts and Crafts
