Splatoon 3 Banners

As you are probably already aware of, the release of Splatoon 3 also came with the accompaniment mobile app SplatNet 3 (part of the Nintendo Switch Online mobile app). This app allows you to check out your statistics in online modes like turf war, anarchy battles, and over progress in story mode, as well as order exclusive gear and view replays. What you may not know is that there is also a QR code reader in the app that can read special Splatoon 3 QR codes that will unlock items like banners.

There are currently two Splatoon 3 QR codes as of writing this guide; one released around the same time as the launch of the game and the second has been shared by Nintendo to promote the Deep Cut Concert at the Nintendo Live 2022 event.

How To Scan Splatoon 3 Reward Codes

So, how do you use the codes and receive the reward in-game? Well, what you can do is simply save the QR image to your phone (or even take a screenshot if you need to). Then open up the SplatNet 3 app and open up the QR Code Reader and then select “Scan a QR code from a saved image”. You can then open up one of the Splatoon 3 QR codes and you will receive the reward.

In order to reclaim the reward, however, you must simply boot up Splatoon 3 on Nintendo Switch, visit the Lobby, and access the Lobby Terminal next to where you can join Turf Wars and Anarchy Battles. From here, you can select the “Get Stuff” option to receive your rewards. You can then edit your banner from the Terminal and change it for one of your freshly received banners.

    1. You are most welcome. To be fair, we didn’t either until we stumbled on one of Nintendo’s tweets displaying a QR code. So it was new to us as well.
