A blue flamed candle emerges…

Calling all Shiny hunters, as one Community Day ends, another is announced and Niantic has come forward to share their plans for next month’s event. Set to occur on Saturday, October 15, 2022, this time around the Pokémon being thrust into the spotlight between 2pm – 5pm, is none other than Litwick.

First introduced in Gen V, the candle Pokémon is a Ghost/Fire dual-type that perfectly compliments the spooky season as Pokémon GO gears up for Halloween.

In typical Community Day fashion, during the three hour slot, Litwick are going to appear in the wild more frequently, with some lucky players being able to encounter the shiny version, which features a light blue coloured flame. There’s also going to be a Special Research story and special move available, with details for both right here:

Community Day Special Research story – Field Notes: Trick of the Light

  • For US$1.00 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency), you’ll be able to access the Litwick Community Day–exclusive Special Research story, Field Notes: Trick of the Light.
  • Stay tuned for when tickets for the Special Research story go live.
  • Don’t forget: you’re now able to purchase and gift tickets to any of your friends that you’ve achieved a Friendship level of Great Friends or higher with.* To gift a ticket, tap the Special Research ticket in the in-game shop, then tap the Gift button instead of the Buy button.

Featured Attack: Evolve Lampent (Litwick’s Evolution) during the event or up to five hours afterward to get a Chandelure that knows the Charged Attack Poltergeist.

Poltergeist: Trainer Battles: 140 power | Gyms and raids: 140 power

Should fortune favour you, players might get lucky enough to catch three Shiny Litwick, allowing you to evolve them in-game and finish with the complete Shiny Litwick line.
