Tissues at the ready…

If you have ever played Square Enix’s Final Fantasy X, odds are you might remember the cinematic scene where Yuna performs a Sending for the first time as seen by Tidus. For those who don’t, a sending is a ritual of sorts for those who have recently departed and have no desire to leave Spira just yet. Instead, choosing to cling on to life, fueled by anger and hate, which can later see them reborn as fiends that will attack the leaving.

A Sending is a Summoner’s way of sending the restless souls off to the Farplane where they can find peace. As for the relevance of this fact, it’s all due to a melody shared by Nintendo from the upcoming Xenoblade Chronicles 3.

Sure to stir up some bittersweet emotions, “A Life Sent On” is an emotional melody, played on flutes by Mio and Noah, when trying to pay their respects to the recently departed. A Life Sent On can be heard below:

About Xenoblade Chronicles 3:
