October 8, 2021 can’t come fast enough.
Just in case October 8, 2021 isn’t a date to remember, what with being the very same day Metroid Dread releases on the Nintendo Switch, now it’s a date Pokémon fans can enjoy as well.
Having previously aired and released in Japan, the latest Pokémon film, Pokémon the Movie: Secrets of the Jungle is on its way to Netflix. The release is said to be debuting the world over from October 8, 2021, the exception, of course, being Japan, China and Korea.
Additionally, it has also been announced there will be a distribution of a Shiny Celebi and Dada Darude for players in North America for Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield.
It is said NA based players will need only to sign up for/agree to receive Pokémon Trainer Club newsletter. Players have until September 25 to register with the code being distributed on October 7.
Dada Zarude is said to be Level 70, holds the Choice Scarf item and knows the moves: Jungle Healing, Hammer Arm, Power Whip and Energy Ball. Shiny Celebi, however, is Level 60, holds a Lucky Egg and knows the moves: Magical Leaf, Future Sight, Life Dew and Heal Bell.
It’s also been announced there will be another crossover event taking place in Pokémon GO to celebrate the release, with more details to follow in due time.
Deep within the Forest of Okoya, the Mythical Pokémon Zarude live in a troop and maintain a strict rule that forbids outsiders from entering their territory. Elsewhere in the jungle lives Koko, a human boy raised by a lone Zarude who left the troop. Koko has grown up never doubting that he is a Zarude. But one day, a chance meeting with Ash and Pikachu leaves Koko with his first human friend. Is he truly a Pokémon? Or is he, in fact, a human? When danger threatens the jungle, the bonds between Pokémon and human—and the love between parent and child—will be put to the test.
