For all you Animal Crossing: New Horizons players out there who feel that the game is getting stale, Nintendo has reiterated that more content is currently in development for the game. They revealed this news via a tweet after announcing the return of the fireworks event that occurs in the game at the end of July.
A free update for #AnimalCrossing: New Horizons arrives on July 29. Please ensure you have updated to the latest version to enjoy the upcoming weekly Fireworks shows and new seasonal items. pic.twitter.com/NiIb0M5wAv— Nintendo of America (@NintendoAmerica) July 27, 2021
In addition to these updates, more free content for #AnimalCrossing: New Horizons is currently in development for later this year. More information will be shared in the future, so please stay tuned. Thank you for your support and patience.— Nintendo of America (@NintendoAmerica) July 27, 2021
The last big update that added new content to Animal Crossing: New Horizons released in March and introduced Super Mario themed items. Here is hoping that we can get some more Nintendo themed content like The Legend of Zelda or Metroid series themed items. At the very least, some Zelda themed villagers like Wolf Link, Pig Ganon, Epona, and perhaps even a Loftwing villager would be a nice tie-in to the recently released The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD.
What new updates would you like to see come to Animal Crossing: New Horizons? New themed items? Brewster’s Café? Please let us know in the comments.
