[Guide] Animal Crossing: New Horizons List Of Nook Miles Tasks

While bells are still the main currency in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, there is also another type of currency called Nook Miles that can only be used to buy exclusive items like Nook Miles, Tickets, Fencing, and special furniture. They are also needed to pay off your very first loan (5,000 Nook Miles in fact). You can earn Nook Miles by fulfilling certain tasks around your island from planting fruit trees to catching fish and bugs. There are four main ways to obtain Nook Miles. They are as follows:

• Log into the Nook Stop machine once a day.
• Fly to a Mystery Island with a Nook Miles Ticket.
• Complete tasks listed in the Nook Miles app on the smartphone.
• Complete tasks listed in the Nook Miles+ section in the Nook Miles App.

The first two ways are quite straightforward. The third option lists 5 different tasks you can do a day to get Nook Miles. upon completing a task, you will be given a new task to earn even more Nook Miles.

The fourth option has set challenges, some with a number of tiers, that can be completed over time. Not all of these are visible from the start and sometimes require being completed before you can see what it is you did that got them. There are 84 Nook Mile Challenges in total (not including Nook Miles+). We have made a list of these challenges below that we ourselves have completed and have given explanations on how to get them.

9. DIY Furniture – Craft a certain number of furniture (5, 50, 200, 1,000, X)
10. Furniture Freshener – Customize a certain number of furniture (5, 20, 50, 100, X)
11. Rough-Hewn – Chop down a certain number of trees (20, 100, 500, 2,000, 5,000)
12. Trashed Tools – Break a certain number of tools (1, 20, 50, 100, 200)
13. Rock Splitting Champ – Whack a rock 8 times in a row
14. Bona Fide Bone Finder! – Find your first fossil
15. Fossil Assessment – Have a certain number of fossils assessed (5, 30, 100, 300, 500)
16. Greedy Weeder – Sell a certain number of weeds (50, 200, 1,000, 2,000, 3,000)
17. Flower Power – Plant a certain number of flowers (10, 50, 100, 200, X)
18. Flower Tender – Water your plants a certain number of times (10, 50, 100, 500, X)
19. Tomorrow’s Trees Today – Plant a certain number of trees (5, 10, 50)
20. Pick Of The Bunch – Collect a certain quantity of fruit (20, 100, 500, 1,000, 3,000)
21. Fruit Roots – Grow each fruit tree on your Island (Cherry, Orange, Pear, Peach, Apple, Coconut)
22. Shrubbery Hubbubbery – Plant a certain number of shrubs (1, 5, 20)
23. Go Ahead. Be Shellfish! – Sell a certain number of seashells (10, 50, 200, 500, 1,000)
24. Clam and Collected – Collect a certain number of Manila Clams (5, 20, 50, 100, 200)
25. Trash Fishin’ – Catch a certain amount of trash whilst fishing (3, 10, 20)
26. Cast Master – Catch a certain amount of fish in a row without losing one (10, 50, 100)
27. Dream House – Build and expand your home a certain amount of times (1, 2, 5, 6, 7)
28. Decorated Decorator – Receive an S rank from Happy Home Academy (1st Time)
29. Hoard Reward – Obtain a certain amount of indoor furniture  (5, 15, 30, 100, 150)
