Thanks to today’s Mini Direct, Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition, finally got some of the air time it deserves and the biggest reveal about this remake, is it seems to be getting a touch of Torna about it, as Nintendo have revealed a new epilogue story will also be included.
Yes, that’s right, Shulk’s story is said to continue with Xenoblade Chronicles: Future Connected and if it turns out to be just half as good as Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna – The Golden Country, we’re in for something special, especially if the epilogue ties in with the main game of Xenoblade Chronicles 2, like some devoted players are hoping for.
We can also expect improved visuals, gameplay and remastered music tracks and a May 29, 2020 release, but it could be subject to change due to COVID-19.
Here’s what Nintendo had to say about the game, in an official capacity, followed by an assortment of images and associated video:
Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition: The original Xenoblade Chronicles game, which marked the debut of fan-favorite character Shulk, comes to Nintendo Switch with a new epilogue story, Xenoblade Chronicles: Future Connected. This definitive edition of the RPG also looks better and plays smoother than ever before. The battle HUD and menu screens are easy to read and easy to use. Some of the music tracks have been remastered or remixed! Experience the majesty of the Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition game when it launches for Nintendo Switch on May 29. On the same day, the Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Works Set will also launch, featuring a 250-page artbook full of beautiful landscapes, imposing monsters and more.
