If you folks have updated Super Smash Bros. Ultimate up to version 2.0.0, and registered your code for Piranha Plant, you will now be able to play as him. As with all the other fighters in the game, Piranha Plant has his own Fighter Spirit that you can unlock. Getting the Piranha Plant Fighter Spirit is just like how you get all the other Fighter Spirits, via Classic Mode.
Piranha Plant is quite a versatile character and should be no trouble to use while beating Classic Mode. If you have trouble getting through classic mode however, you can always lower the difficulty.
With the inclusion of the Piranha Plant Fighter Spirit, it now brings to total number of Spirits up to 1303. Have you got them all yet? Good luck!
