It’s jmac here and I know we’re all excited about the rumored Nintendo Direct/ presentation. It’ll hopefully tell us about what Nintendo’s 2018 will look like! Here’s my personal realistic wishlist:

Wii U ports

Let’s face it, only 13.5 million people owned a Wii U, while the console did have its faults, there were still some great games many people missed out on. Nintendo released one of the greatest Wii U games, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, around two months after the Switch’s launch. It was a port that perfected the game and left it with almost 0 flaws making it the best Mario Kart game to date. Having sold really well (3.89mil), I don’t see why Nintendo wouldn’t want to port more games. They could bring some fantastic games to an audience who’ve never had the chance to experience them! Monolith Soft has been considering porting Xenoblade Chronicles X (one of my favorite Wii U games) to the Switch. Why not bring Super Mario 3D World, Captain Toad (a highly demanded port), Super Mario Maker, Smash 4… I think Wii U ports are plausible and I hope they come. I don’t mind coming back to those games with a few new features like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

Fire Emblem Switch

After the success of Fire Emblem Awakening and Fates, Fire Emblem has become a major player for Nintendo, it has its own successful mobile game, a Warriors game, and remake. A year ago, a Fire Emblem game for Switch due to release in 2018 had been confirmed during the Nintendo Switch presentation. We’ve heard nothing since and I believe it may get a release date and some gameplay footage/ trailer. If not then we’ll for sure see it at E3.

Pikmin 4

This game has been confirmed to be in development back in 2015, and at E3 2017 was said by Miyamoto to be “very close to completion”. If it very close to completion then I can see it releasing before E3 or around that time at the most. Pikmin 3 was a great success and it’s exciting to be getting a Pikmin game on Switch. It being in the rumored direct is very likely and I can’t wait to see what it is! If you have a Pikmin need you can always play *giggle* Hey! Pikmin *giggle*

Square Enix Presence

We’ve heard from Square Enix that they were considering bringing a few of their franchises new and old to the Switch! We could see some Final Fantasy and more on the Switch. It remains cloudy but I still hope that we’ll see some sort of Square presence.

Ace Attorney and more from Capcom

We already know that Capcom has big plans for Ace Attorney on Switch, I think we can expect a few re-releases of older Ace Attorney games. The rumored new Ace Attorney game won’t be in this direct/presentation and more likely at E3. Also, we could see more Resident Evil and others.

That’s it, those are my hopes and wishes for the direct! What’s on your wishlist? Comment on twitter or down below!
