A new update for Pokémon GO is still rolling out and already dataminers have begun to pick away at the data and see what they could find and find something they did, but it’s not Gen 2 Pokémon related.

In a new report by The Silph Road, evidence of holiday items have been discovered and since Niantic have shown an active interest in celebrating the holidays with events for Pokémon GO, such as the Halloween one we had, a Christmas themed event isn’t unlikely. But should one not happen, there is still a chance that Trainers can wake up on Christmas morning to find a Pokémon GO present awaiting them. Also discovered is a variant for the shop button which you can see for yourself below:
