Last week we got to hear about the Trainer who caught every available Pokémon in the US and now we get to hear about the Trainer who utilised a bot to help him reach Level 40, the highest level you can currently go!

Before we go any further and this starts to sound like we are slandering Reddit user _problemz for cheating, we’re not. In fact we’re actually going to praise _problemz because of exactly what he did. He wasn’t using a bot to be the very best, but so he can get to the level cap and see what happens and share it with all of us. “Do we get the Master Ball?” “Will Mew and Mewtwo show up?” “Where do the Legendary birds come into the game?” These are the questions that put him on his path and after getting a grand total of 20 million Experience points, the answer is no. Nothing special happens whatsoever except getting the following items for levelling up:

40 Ultra Balls

40 Max Potions

40 Max Revives

40 Razz Berries

4 Incense

4 Lucky Eggs

4 Incubators

4 Lure Modules

And now that he’s achieved his goal and discovered the answers to the questions above, he’s actually stepped forwards to admit what he did and has contacted Niantic to delete his account as this was purely an experiment to see what happens, as opposed to just cheating the game to out do everyone.

This does mean though that we are no clue the wiser as to what we can do to make Ditto show up as Ditto is out there according to what data mining discovered, so unless it’s a case of catching every Pokémon going including the region exclusives and not the Legendary birds, it must surely be something else entirely and if you happen to have any thoughts on the matter, be sure to comment them before so we can discuss them in full!
