Previously slated for August 2026, Part 1: Bubbly Basin has now been officially revealed to release on August 5, 2026. With just over a week to go before players can dive into another adventure, here is everything you can expect from the upcoming DLC regarding Part 1 and Part 2:

London, UK – 29 July 2026 – Today, The Pokémon Company group revealed that Part 1 of the Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass paid DLC[1] is set to release on 5 August for Nintendo Switch 2. A new trailer for Part 1 was also revealed, showcasing the exciting features fans can look forward to diving into soon. Additionally, new details for Part 2 were revealed.
New Details Revealed for Paid DLC Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass—Part 1: Bubbly Basin
In Part 1, players can look forward to making a splash in the new underwater town, Bubbly Basin[2]. In this submerged space, players can grow watermelons with the help of Pokémon with the Water specialty, while Pokémon with the Generate specialty can power bubble machines or activate streetlights. Players can also discover more Pokémon, new outfits, a power-up for the move Surf, and a newly added prepared food – smoothies.
Players can traverse a hole in the sea floor to explore the deep sea shrouded in darkness and enjoy an exciting adventure alongside Pokémon by following the glowing coral.
Building reaches a new depth in Bubbly Basin with buoyant blocks, which allow players to make buildings that are only possible underwater, floating at different levels. Players can also build a Sharpedo submarine to make a room which feels like a Secret Base.
New Feature Revealed for Paid DLC Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass—Part 2
Scheduled for release in late 2026, players can look forward to dressing up alongside their favourite Pokémon by wearing accessories in Part 2 of the paid DLC[3]. Players will also be able to find more furniture pieces and Pokémon. More details regarding Part 2 will be revealed in the future.
Pokémon Pokopia Ver 2.0.0 Free Software Update
Available to everyone who owns Pokémon Pokopia from 5 August, players will be able to learn the move Dive from Manaphy as part of the Ver 2.0.0 free software update.[4] Once learnt, players will be able to swim alongside Water-type Pokémon and build underwater.

[2]The Ver. 2.0.0 free software update must be applied to your game before you can play Part 1: Bubbly Basin of the Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass paid DLC. To begin Part 1: Bubbly Basin, you will need to complete the request “Raise the environment level!” in Bleak Beach. You will also need to learn the newly added move Dive included in the free software update.
[4] In order to learn Dive, you will need to complete the request “Raise the environment level!” in Bleak Beach and know the moves Surf and how to jump. You will be able to befriend Manaphy in the paid DLC.
