On July 2, 2026, the second wave of Star Fox icons was added to Nintendo Switch Online.

Wave 2 is available now until July 9, 2026, at 00:59 UTC and includes the following:

  • 12 Characters (10 Platinum Points each)
    • Of the 12 Characters, 10 are NEW
  • 5 Backgrounds (5 Platinum Points each)
    • Of the 5 Backgrounds, all 5 are NEW
  • 5 Frames (5 Platinum Points each)
    • Of the 5 Backgrounds, all 5 are NEW

Zoness: Known previously as a popular vacation destination, heavy resource mining has since turned the once-beautiful paradise planet into a heavily polluted zone.

Meteo: An asteroid field known for mining operations. Recent surveillance has detected unusual energy readings from within…

Sector Y: Named for its Y-shaped form, it is one of three unique space-dust formations within the Lylat System.

Test your mettle: Replay missions in Challenge Mode to clear objectives that unlock in-game rewards like Holoviewer logs that give you special intel on characters and mission locations.

Take flight and fight together: Vie for dominance over the stars with—or against—your friends* in Battle Mode.

Head into the fray online: Engage in intense, four-on-four team-based battles online* with friends or players from around the world. You’ll play across three stages including Corneria, Sector Y, and Fichina—each with different rules and objectives.

Team up for missions: Pass a Joy-Con 2 controller to a friend and they can join you as a gunner or pilot in two-player co-op. You can also experience the entire story campaign together locally or online over GameShare** via GameChat.

Become a member of Star Fox: Connect a compatible USB camera, like the Nintendo Switch 2 camera (sold separately), to play facetoface with friends over GameChat***. Use Character Avatars to appear as your favorite characters or use AR filters to layer Foxlike ears, sunglasses, helmets, and other accessories over your ingame image!
