Living the Dream indeed!
Now that Nintendo has shared its latest sales figures, bringing us up to date as of March 31, 2026, it has been revealed that the Nintendo Switch 2 has sold 19.86 million units worldwide, with software sales reaching 48.71 million units. Should the console sell another 2 million units during the current quarter, the Nintendo Switch 2 will officially outsell the Nintendo GameCube.
On the other side of the fence, the Nintendo Switch has now reportedly sold 155.92 million units globally, with software sales reaching 1.528 billion units.
Incidentally, during this reporting period, Nintendo’s best-selling games were Pokémon FireRed Version and Pokémon LeafGreen Version. However, sales figures for Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream were also shared despite the game launching in April. The sales numbers for each title can be seen below:
