Get ready for another Nintendo Switch Tour in Spain as Nintendo Ibería has announced that they will be travelling to 15 cities around the country so the general public can experience the Nintendo Switch 2 and its library of games! The Summer tour will kick off in Cádiz on July 2-3, in Plaza San Antonio and will continue around the Andalusian coast to Malaga, and Algeria then up to the likes of Cartagena, Alicante, Tarragona and other cities.
As for games that will be playable during the Nintendo Switch 2 Summer Tour, Mario Kart World will be leading the lineup alongside Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour, Hogwarts Legacy, Street Fighter VI, Sonic X Shadow Generations and The Nintendo Switch 2 Editions of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and Breath of the Wild. Donkey Kong Bananza is slated to be playable during the tour but only from July 17th onwards. I will admit this is a bit odd when the game was literally available at demo units during the Nintendo Switch 2 Experience event which was hosted around the world, including Madrid, Spain and is supposed to be this year’s biggest title for Nintendo. Less not forget that Metroid Prime 4 was also playable at the experience, but there has been no word of it being playable at the Nintendo Switch 2 Summer Tour.
As someone who has attended the Nintendo Switch Summer Tour over the last few years, I will certainly try to keep up attendance this year, although two of the biggest games I would like to see there won’t be available when I go to the event in Cádiz. That said, I will definitely have a look around and let you know my thoughts on the event.

Nintendo Switch 2 and Mario Kart World kick off their summer tour in Cádiz on July 2
The Nintendo Switch 2 Tour, Nintendo’s traditional summer tour, will travel through 15 Spanish cities this summer behind the wheel of Mario Kart. The first stop will be San Antonio Square in the city of Cádiz.
Madrid, June 25, 2025 – After the siesta, a dip. And after the dip, some Mario Kart World . What better plan for a splendid summer afternoon? Nintendo ‘s summer tour is already warming up and, starting July 2, will hit the gas on its way to 15 Spanish cities. Visitors will have the opportunity to try out the brand’s new console, Nintendo Switch 2 , and show off their driving skills with Mario Kart World , the new racing game in the Mario Kart series. Attendees will be able to enjoy other Nintendo titles, and, starting July 17, Donkey Kong Bananza will also join the party. This is a free program suitable for all audiences (including those with poor handling of controllers), perfect for attending with family and friends.
Cadiz will kick off the tour. On July 2 and 3, the Nintendo Switch 2 Tour will set up its tents at 6:00 p.m. in the central Plaza de San Antonio. Visitors can enjoy its more than 40 gaming stations until midnight, taking advantage of the cooler hours of the day.
The star title will be Mario Kart World , which was released alongside Nintendo Switch 2 , on June 5th. In this fun racing title, players will be able to put themselves in the shoes of the Nintendo characters and step on the accelerator to overtake other drivers, throw banana peels at them, dodge shells that try to knock them off the track and look for dizzying shortcuts to try to be the first to reach the finish line. With a vast interconnected world to explore, up to 24 drivers per race and many new features and surprises, the Nintendo Switch 2 Tour tents will host different game modes in which attendees can compete against their friends and family amidst competition and laughter. And, before leaving the space, they can take a photo at the tour photocall and take it home as a souvenir.
Donkey Kong Bananza is released on July 17th; and starting that same day, visitors to the Nintendo Switch 2 Tour can also enjoy this colorful exploration, platforming, and banana-eating adventure (of course). It introduces us to the most charismatic and fun Donkey Kong ever, along with Pauline, a very young singer who becomes Donkey Kong’s inseparable companion. Together, they’ll have to fight their way through the world by punching their way to the planet’s core, discovering paths and hidden treasures, all on a banana-rescue mission accompanied by a spectacular soundtrack.
Both Mario Kart World and Donkey Kong Bananza are titles from the Mario universe, perfect for enjoying in company, thanks to their bright and friendly character, their varied multiplayer modes and their facilities so that even the most novice can enjoy them from the first moment: Mario Kart World has a “steering wheel mode” to drive the cars in a more intuitive way; Donkey Kong Bananza has a help mode, which makes the challenges easier for novices, and a multiplayer mode that allows two players, one more experienced and one less experienced (who will control Pauline) to join forces to complete the adventure. Of course, both titles are also full of challenges and hidden surprises so that the most skilled at the controls can find challenges that match their level.
In addition, tour visitors will have the opportunity to play other brand-new Nintendo Switch 2 titles: unravel the magical mysteries of Hogwarts Legacy , explore the vast land of Hyrule with enhanced graphics in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition , take part in epic battles in Street Fighter VI , and enjoy the platforming fun of Sonic X Shadow Generations .
After opening the tour in Cádiz, the Nintendo tents will continue their itinerary along the Andalusian coast, visiting cities such as Málaga (July 5 and 6) and Almería (July 8, 9, and 10). The tour will then head to Cartagena (Murcia), Santa Pola (Alicante), Gandía (Valencia), Peñíscola (Castellón), Calafell (Tarragona), Castro Urdiales and San Vicente de la Barquera (Cantabria), Avilés (Asturias), and Vilagarcía de Arousa (Pontevedra)*, among other cities. In total, a journey of more than 2,500 kilometers full of shared fun.
