Mario Kart World | Version 1.1.1 is Available Now (Full Patch Notes)

Multiple issues fixed. 

The second update for Mario Kart World is available now, and it implements a range of fixes to existing issues. For the full patch notes related to what version 1.1.1 fixes, we have them here:

Mario Kart World | Version 1.1.1 Patch Notes: (Released June 17, 2025)

Fixed Issues:

• Fixed an issue where items were no longer able to be used.
• Fixed an issue where sometimes controls were inoperable when selecting a character and trying to start Free Roam from the “Free Roam” map.
• Fixed an issue where sometimes the game shut down when watching replay after a race.
• Fixed an issue where sometimes the game shut down after a race in “Online Play.”
• Fixed an issue where rate fluctuations were sometimes displayed incorrectly in “Knockout Tour” and “Online Play.”
• Fixed an issue where it was easy for a communication error to occur when trying to join Friends playing “VS Race” or “Battle” in “Online Play.”
• Fixed an issue where you sometimes slipped through the wall before the finish line of “DK Spaceport.”
• Fixed an issue where you sometimes couldn’t return to correct position after falling of the course between “Airship Fortress” and “Bowser’s Castle” while gliding.

Through CameraPlay, you can even see your friends’ faces next to their vehicles as you zoom past them, whether you’re online or on the same couch. Hop into a match of Balloon Battle or Coin Runners for even more mayhem, or get focused and strive for your personal best in Time Trials. There’s something for every kind of racer!

Go full speed with series-new drivers, vehicles, courses, outfits, items, and more! — Race on brand-new courses, as well as familiar ones that have been reimagined with additional routes and other details.
