Is there an Echo in here?
With 127 Echoes in total, there are plenty of interesting combos for players to discover. It also makes for an awkward menu to scroll through when trying to find the one you wish to use but, when speaking to BBC Newsbeat. Satoshi Terada revealed this menu was intentional as, “One of the essences of this game is being able to figure out different ways of using each of these echoes.”
He also added, “And so in that sense we wanted players to fall upon and see the echoes that they may not have noticed or have been using while they’re sorting through all the echoes that they have.”
Lastly, Terada was quick to point out that The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom does feature one selection choice to highlight the Echoes players have used most recently.
About The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom:
Save the kingdom of Hyrule – this time with the wisdom of Princess Zelda – in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom for Nintendo Switch – The people of Hyrule are being stolen away by strange rifts that have appeared, and with a certain swordsman among those missing, it’s up to Princess Zelda to save her kingdom.
Team up with the mysterious fairy, Tri, and use the power of the Tri Rod to learn how to create echoes, imitations of things found in the environment. You can then recreate those echoes whenever you like to solve puzzles and defeat enemies.
Create echoes like water blocks to reach new heights, make bridges out of old beds, throw rocks at foes, or find your own creative combination of echoes to do things your way. You can even create echoes of monsters to fight at your side in combat!
