Nintendo Switch Online | Participants are Not Allowed say Anything about the Playtest Program

Just in case it wasn’t enough for Nintendo to surprise us with the Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarmo this week, the company also announced Nintendo Switch Online: Playtest Program. With details very vague, those who were eligible to sign up to play test a new program later this month had to act quick to submit their applications yesterday. Except now new information has come to light.

It has been revealed that those who were lucky enough to secure a spot, are forbidden from discussing the new feature:

We request that you do not discuss or disclose content from either the Nintendo Switch Online: Playtest Program test software or website with others.
Please do not pass your download code for the Nintendo Switch
Online: Playtest Program on to others.

But as we all know, leaks do happen frequently in this day and age so it wouldn’t be surprising if certain details come to light not long after the latest gets underway.

About the Nintendo Switch Online: Playtest Program:

We will perform a test called Nintendo Switch Online: Playtest Program related to a new feature for the Nintendo Switch Online service offered for the Nintendo Switch™ system.

We will recruit people to participate in this test from those with Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack memberships.

Customers will need to download exclusive software to their own Nintendo Switch system in order to participate.

Application Qualifications:

You must have an active Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership as of Wednesday 09/10/2024 22:00 (UTC).
You must be at least 18 years of age as of Wednesday 09/10/2024 22:00 (UTC).
Your Nintendo Account must be registered to one of the following countries: Japan, the United States of America, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, or Spain.

Participants from Japan will be chosen via raffle if there are many Japanese applicants. Participants from outside of Japan will be chosen on a first-come-first-serve basis.

*This playtest is expected to accept as many as 10,000 participants!
