The ball is in your court!

Previously announced during June’s Nintendo Direct, the all-new Basketball update for Nintendo Switch Sports landed much sooner than initially expected. To access the new mode, players will need to download the update and for those curious, we have the full patch notes for the latest update, but aside from adding basketball, the only other thing mentioned is several issues being fixed:

Nintendo Switch Sports | Ver. 1.5.0 Patch Notes: (Released July 9, 2024)

Basketball:

  • Basketball has been added. It can be enjoyed in all modes: Play Globally, Play Locally, and Play with Friends.

Overall:

  • Several issues have been fixed to improve the gameplay experience.

Play each sport online, or team up with a friend on the same system to take on opponents near and far in team sports like Basketball, Volleyball and Tennis.
