Feel the dread.
Following yesterday’s first proper look at Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, the first wave of Metroid Dread icons is now available Nintendo Switch Online. It’s been a long time coming, but for devoted fans of the Metroid series, you have one week to collect every reward from Wave 1 before they become unavailable. Wave 2 is said to become available from June 25, 2024 with Wave 3 arriving on July 3, 2024 before finishing on July 10, 2024 at 00:59 UTC.
Of the twenty rewards available, 10 are Characters, five are Backgrounds and five are Frames. Both Frames and Backgrounds cost 5 Platinum Points each. In contrast, each character reward costs 10 Platinum Points. To purchase every reward, a total of 150 Platinum Points is required.

Bounty Hunters looking for a true challenge can face the new Dread Mode, which can be unlocked if the Hard Mode is finished. Complete the game to unlock Boss Rush* and fight Samus’ most formidable foes one-after-another to try to get the best time possible!
A new Samus amiiboâ„¢ figure featuring her suit from Metroid Dread and an E.M.M.I. amiibo figure are available in a 2-pack set. Scan the Samus amiibo for an extra energy tank to increase your health by 100; additionally, the Samus amiibo can be tapped again to receive health once per day. The E.M.M.I. amiibo grants Samus a Missile Plus tank, increasing her missile capacity by 10; additionally, the E.M.M.I. amiibo can be tapped again to replenish some missiles once per day.
