Robert Feather: (Product Manager at Fireshine Games)

Name/Known Alias: Robert Feather.

Occupation: Product Manager at Fireshine Games.

Best Known for/Notable Works: Game: Odinfall.

Fun Fact: I previously worked as an architect before getting into the games industry.

How did you make your break into the industry:

My first role in the industry was an internship as a marketing & community manager with a tabletop gaming company. Once I had some experience in tabletop gaming, I was able to sidestep over to indie publishing when the opportunity arose.

Favourite Projects to have Worked on: Working on games is a lot of fun, and Odinfall definitely ticks that box.

Hardest Projects to have Worked on: I learned a lot from my first major gaming project.

Currently Working on: Odinfall.

Currently Playing: Helldivers 2. I just can’t stop!

Currently Watching: Shōgun – it’s awesome!

Defining Career Moment: Making the decision to quit my old job (that I had studied for) to take an internship in the industry I wanted.

Throughout your career, of the many things you have since learned, is there anything you wish you knew at the beginning: Oh yeah! Apart from everything, just learning to evaluate the landscape of indie games from afar.

If you had the opportunity to work with any IP, what would it be: Good question… Probably The Witcher, because who wouldn’t, eh?

Is there anyone you haven’t worked with yet, but would like to: Supergiant Games are absolutely killing it right now! But I would also LOVE to know what is coming next from Cuphead developer Studio MDHR.
