We’ve all known that the Donkey Kong series is to be the theme to Super Nintendo World’s big expansion and that work is being undertaken to bring the next new adventure to life. Earlier today, Universal Studios and Nintendo announced that the Donkey Kong Country Park at Super Nintendo World Japan will be open to the public in Spring 2024.

The announcement has been posted on Universal Studios and Nintendo’s social channels and includes a video showing off what the park will eventually look like, along with some creative freedom of Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong riding the Mine-cart inspired roller coaster ride that will be at the park.

The new Donkey Kong Country area looks very cool, and we would certainly love the opportunity to go to Super Nintendo World to check it out. Still, with it being in Spring next year, I guess we all have some saving up to do.

It also gives us more time to find out more about what will actually be at the park. More details are still to come and will be shared on the Universal Studios Japan website. As for what is on the site already, you can find the opening statement below.
