[Guide] Turok 3 Remastered Secrets, Achievements, Tricks & Unlockables

Welcome to our Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion Remastered guide. Having trouble finding all the PSG parts? Want to know where all the Secret areas are? Looking to complete the Speedrunner achievement? We have you covered. Please be warned that there are spoilers ahead, so only use this guide if you are not too concerned with spoilers.

Turok 3 Remastered Cheats

Let’s deal with the elephant in the room first and foremost. Players of the original game may recall that cheats were unlocked by using pass codes like “coyote, bear, dear, eagle” etc. The remastered version has done away with all that so the only way to unlock the cheats is to simply beat the game. That’s it.

All PSG Parts

The most powerful weapon in the game, the PSG, requires finding all the parts before you can use it. There are five parts in total, one in each of the game’s chapters. Here is a short walkthrough of how and where to find each part.

CHAPTER 1 – The Sewers

In Chapter 1, when you reach the sewers, you can actually find the PSG part in a tunnel directly opposite the direction you need to go. After falling into the water, resurface and do a U-turn. Get out of the water and walk to the end of the short tunnel. Here is the first PSG part.

CHAPTER 2 – Silo 2, 3 & 4

After deactivating the missile launch, walk up to the bridge and drop down to the base of missile three (right-hand side). Underneath the missile is the second PSG part. As a bonus, underneath missile four, there is a Tek Bow or Storm Bow, depending on which character you are playing.

CHAPTER 3 – The Lab

Once you have risen the water level, go through the grate to the room with the elevator (the room before the large open space where the red biplane crashes into the wall. There is an alcove in the cliff wall that you may have seen before but couldn’t reach before. With the water level raised, you can now reach it to collect the third PSG part.

CHAPTER 4 – The Pyramid

This is one of the easiest parts in the game to find as you literally find it on top of the pyramid. Upon beating the Fireborn Boss, collect the Fire Stone and use the underground river to make your way outside. Use the lift to ascend the cliff (the lever for the lift is inside the hut). You will then be taken to the base of the pyramid, which has a ramp you can climb. At the top of the pyramid is the fourth PSG part and four life force diamonds to collect.

CHAPTER 5 – Refinery One

To find the last PSG part, you will need to take a detour from the main path. In the room with the large ore cart suspended on a rail, ride the cart until you pass through the second tunnel-like structure (just after the first large room with the Flesh Eaters that fire upon you from platforms. When at the structure, drop down and take the door. You will then go through a couple of large corridors separated by a breakable wall. Defeat or evade the Sentinels and go to the door at the far end of the corridor. This will take you to Refinery one. From the door, walk to the far-right corner to find the final PSG part. Dispatch the Oblivion Priests where necessary.

Turok 3 Remastered Unlockable Characters

Unlock Joshua: Beat the game with both Danielle and Joseph to unlock Joshua as a playable character. Joshua has access to all weapons, can jump higher and crawl through narrow passages. He can also use the grapple hook and night vision goggles.

Unlock the Raptor: Beat the game with both Danielle and Joseph on Oblivion difficulty to unlock the Raptor as a playable character. The Raptor is the fastest character but only has access to limited weapons like the Cerebral Bore and the Grenade Launcher, however, the Raptor can jump high and use the grapple hook. You can also make good use of its speed to obtain the Speedrunner achievement.

Turok 3 Remastered Achievements

The following is a list of the game’s achievements along with how to complete them.

• I AM TUROK!: Collect 100 Life Force
• Spirit of Turok: Collect 500 Life Force
• Give the man a hand: Blow of 300 limbs
• Watch your back: Shoot the oxygen canister on the back of a Lost One
• Treasure Hunter: Find 3 secret areas (See Turok 3 Remastered Secret Area Locations below for more details)
• Mission Accomplished: Destroy the Oblivion Refineries (there are two refineries and can be found in Chapter 5)
• Personal Singularity Generator: Collect all the PSG parts
• Firestarter: Kill an enemy with an explosion from a fire extinguisher (you can do this on Chapter 1 or Chapter 2, look for an enemy stationed by a fire extinguisher and shoot it until it explodes)
• Dinosaur Hunter: Kill 30 Raptors
• Get your hands dirty: Kill 25 enemies with melee weapons (we recommend doing this on Easy or Normal difficulty)
• Explosive Force!: Kill 150 enemies with explosive weapons
• Master Archer: Kill 30 enemies with regular arrows
• Shocking… Positively Shocking: Kill 10 enemies by bouncing a shot from the Shredder (Joseph exclusive weapon)
• Extra Crispy: Set 30 enemies on fire with the Fireswarm Shotgun (Danielle exclusive weapon)
• Grey matter a go-go: Kill 30 enemies by blowing off their heads with the Sniper Rifle (Joseph exclusive weapon)
• Sucked into a Bagel: Kill four enemies at once with the PSG
• Civilian of the week: Defeat the Oblivion Gunship (Chapter 1 Boss)
• Soldier of the month: Defeat Xiphas (Chapter 2 Boss)
• Technician of the year: Defeat Opisthor (Chapter 3 Boss)
• It smells burnt: Defeat Warlord (Chapter 4 miniboss)
• Heart of Fire: Defeat the Alpha Fireborn (Chapter 4 Boss)
• Savior of all times: Defeat Oblivion (Chapter 5 Boss)
• The Boy Bore the Burden: Beat the game with Joseph
• The Woman Bore the Burden: Beat the game with Danielle
• Coyote Knight: Beat the game with Joshua
• Clever Girl: Beat the game with the Raptor
• Wielder of the Light: Beat the game on any difficulty
• Shadow of Oblivion: Beat the game on Hard difficulty
• Oblivion is at hand!: Beat the game on Oblivion difficulty
• Speedrunner: Complete the game with any character in under 1 hour and 20 minutes (We recommend using the raptor on easy or normal difficulty)

Turok 3 Secret Area Locations

Turok 3 Remastered has a number of secret areas hidden within the game. So far, we have managed to find three of them, which is just enough to unlock the Treasure Hunter achievement. Two of the secret areas can be found in Chapter 4 and one can be found in Chapter 5.

Chapter 4 – Secret Area 1

In the area above a waterfall where you need to activate the two levers to open the door beyond the drawbridge, there is a wall with vines and an area in the corner that you can just about see through. Cross the water and go into the room opposite, killing all enemies in your way. Climb up the ladder and as you step out into the open again, look over to your left to see a ledge below you. Jump down to it and then use the ledge to reach the secret area behind the vine wall.

Chapter 4 – Secret Area 2

In the area just before the Pyramid, there is a large complex. Make your way up to the top of the complex, using the climbable vines to jump on the roof. From here, jump across the roofs and drop down in an area with a dead body to find the second secret area.

Chapter 5 – Secret Area 3

To access this area, you will need to access the top of a large cylinder in an open area and activate the levers. It will create a bridge and open a shutter that will give you access to the secret area. Alternatively, if you are playing as Joshua, you can reach this area by using the grappling hook in the cave where two Cerebral Bores are lying on a cliff in a cave. There is a tight narrow tunnel that will open up into the secret area as well.
