Remember that awesome Inti Creates news we got yesterday, well half of it is now in effect.


It may not be the 6th of July the world over, but the new update of Blaster Master Zero is available now for all regions and as for the Shantae DLC, well here’s the rub. The DLC is available as of now, provided you have access to the Japanese eShop. It by no means will remain there, as it will also be available on the EU and NA eShop.


For anyone who needs a reminder as to Shantae is like, consult the information below:

Shantae joins the underground adventure as a playable character in EX Character Mode! Fascinate the mutant hordes with the power of magic and fancy dances!


Main Attack: Whip your signature ponytail with great speed and deadly force.



During top-down view segments, use your Magic Meter to perform various magical attacks.


Fireball: Shoot a ball of fire that flies in a straight line.


Storm Puff: Call forth a cloud that fires lightning bolts. You can also move around while the cloud is attacking.


Scimitar: Magical swords spin around Shantae that can slice & dice enemies.


Dances (Transformations):

Perform Shantae’s trademark dances to transform into different creatures.


Monkey Dance: On side view maps, transform into a monkey that can climb on walls and jump much higher than normal.


Mutant Dance: Turn into a cute little GX680 mutant, trudge around, and fire away!


Elephant Dance: Transform into an elephant that can smash enemies and obstacles with powerful tackle attacks!

As for Shovel Knight, he is on his way, but he arrives August 3rd so you’ve got a bit of waiting to do if you hope to play as him!
