Applins at the ready.
With Part 1: The Teal Mask now available for Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet, for those who have purchased the DLC, players can now leave Paldea for the new region of Kitakami, just as soon as you begin the Treasure Hunt in the Main game.
For those who do depart for shores unknown, eager to start a new adventure and get your hands on Dipplin, a brand-new evolution for Applin, we dedicate this guide to the method you will need to use:

How to Evolve Applin into Dipplin:
As you could expect, the very first step for evolving your Applin into a Dipplin, is to have an Applin. Players should be delighted to know that you do not need to catch an Applin from Kitakami. Instead, any Applin you caught or bred in Galar or Paldea, including any Applin you shiny hunted, is capable of evolving into the new form.
This is because, like with previous Applin evolutions, Appletun and Flapple, this new evolution requires a brand new apple-based item to trigger the evolution. Instead of using a Sweet Apple (evolves into Appletun) or a Tart Apple (evolves into Flapple), players are required to obtain a Syrupy Apple and give that to their Applin, instantly triggering the evolution animation.
*Syrupy Apple: A peculiar apple that can make a certain species of Pokémon evolve. It’s exceptionally syrupy.

As this guide is currently a work in progress, additional details, including where to find the Syrupy Apple and additional imagery, are being added in due course.
