The Pokémon Company has revealed two new physical releases, both launching on October 29 2026. While one will be available for Japan, Europe and North America, the other is limited to Japan and South Korea only.
The games receiving new physical releases are:
Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition (with the Mega Dimension content) — a full physical release
Pokémon Pokopia with Expansion Pass — still a Game-Key Card release
Speaking about the new Legends: Z-A physical release bundle, The Pokémon Company International shared the following:
Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Mega Dimension Bundle Coming Soon
Experience this recent adventure through Lumiose City and its DLC in one package.
In Pokémon Legends: Z-A, you explore Lumiose City, working together with your friends at Hotel Z to tackle all sorts of incidents that crop up involving people and Pokémon. The adventure continues in the Mega Dimension DLC, with an expanded story involving the Mythical Pokémon Hoopa and mysterious spatial distortions that are appearing throughout the city. On Thursday, 29 October 2026, you’ll be able to get the entire story in one package with the release of the Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Mega Dimension bundle.
This Nintendo Switch 2 release includes both Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition and the Mega Dimension DLC on one game card. If you have Nintendo Switch, the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition is also playable on that console. When playing the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition on the Nintendo Switch console, though, the content will be the same as that of the Nintendo Switch software. Additional features and content that utilise the Nintendo Switch 2 console’s specs will not be included.
As a special bonus, if you purchase the Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Mega Dimension bundle, you’ll receive a serial code for a gift of 100 Ultra Balls via Mystery Gift—perfect for catching lots of Pokémon as you begin your journey.
Have fun solving the many mysteries of Lumiose City, Trainers!
