With DRAGON QUEST VII Reimagined all set to release on February 5, 2026, SQUARE ENIX have announced that a demo for DRAGON QUEST VII Reimagined will be released on January 7, 2026 for Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam. A new video has been released for the upcoming demo, and it has been revealed that save data from the demo, will carry over to the full version of  DRAGON QUEST VII Reimagined for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.

Furthermore, for those who do play the demo, they will also be rewarded with the “Day Off Costume” for Maribel, which is usable in the full game. The opening movie trailer for the demo can be seen here:
