Just in case it wasn’t enough for Nintendo to randomly reveal Nintendo Switch’s successor, and an upcoming Nintendo Direct in April, the Japanese gaming giant has also revealed the Nintendo Switch 2 Experience. Through this event, consumers will get the chance to try out the new console in select cities around the world, but there is a catch.

For those who wish to attend, it is not enough to live locally at the event, as all eager would-be participants will need to meet certain requirements. For starters, they will need to have a Nintendo Account and will need to register for the event to get a ticket. From the US version of the registration site, we have the following excerpt on how to get said ticket:

The Nintendo Switch™ 2 Experience events require an entry ticket received from a free-to-enter, randomly selected drawing.

You can register for a chance to receive tickets here at any time before Sunday, January 26 at 11:59 p.m. local time per each Event location. The drawing is free to enter. Please note there is no guarantee you will be selected to receive a ticket.

When you register, you can select the number of tickets you are requesting and the session you’d like to attend. To register for the drawing, you must be at least 18 years old and have a Nintendo Account. If you are registering as a group, each member of the group must have a Nintendo Account that is linked to the same Nintendo Account family group.

If someone under the age of 13 wants to attend, a parent or guardian can create a Nintendo Account for a child as part of a Nintendo Account Family group.

All attendees in the same group must attend the same session together.

All registrants must be U.S. residents.

As for when registration begins, the answer is… tomorrow and will run until January 26, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. local time for “each Event location”.

Registration is open from Jan. 17 at 12 p.m. PT / 2 p.m. CT / 3 p.m. ET until Jan. 26 at 11:59 p.m. local time for each Event location. Registrants will be notified of the drawing results soon after.
