Tom Nook will be pleased.

Since it first debuted back in 2001, Animal Crossing is a Nintendo IP that took the world by storm. With popular characters like Isabelle, Tom Nook and K.K. Slider, who have enchanted millions, Animal Crossing is one of a few Nintendo IPs that made the leap to mobile devices in 2017, with Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp.

Despite the game’s best efforts, it wasn’t enough to completely satisfy devout fans, eager for a new main series instalment. Thankfully, Animal Crossing: New Horizons would arrive in 2020, releasing on the Nintendo Switch and it became the game that helped many of us get through the pandemic.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons went on to become the second best-selling game on the Nintendo Switch, selling more than 42 million copies worldwide and second only to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Well, Animal Crossing is about to get even more popular now that Nintendo has announced a new collaboration with LEGO. No actual details have been shared at this time, but at the very least we know LEGO Animal Crossing is happening in some capacity and there is a charming video that shows off a number of LEGO Animal Crossing figurines.
