We promised to follow up on Netflix’s animated Castlevania series if more information became available, and become available it has.

Due to the initial reveal, IGN staff took it upon themselves to learn more about the title, and if their Castlevania article is anything to go by, they were able to uncover quite a bit, including the show’s official description, which states Castlevania is to focus on “the last surviving member of the disgraced Belmont clan, trying to save Eastern Europe from extinction at the hand of Vlad Dracula Tepe himself.

IGN even went as far as speaking with Adi Shankar, who admitted that this forthcoming series, is “very much Castlevania done in the vein of Game of Thrones. Shankar is also states as saying the series will be R-rated as **** and that this series will also be the best ******* video game adaption “we’ve had to date.” And he also did this on Facebook:

That’s a pretty big claim Shankar, but you do have the right guys in place to pull it off, so I’m personally looking forwards to seeing seasons 1 and 2. How about you guys? What do you make of all this?
