The end of the line is finally here now that Wave 4 has arrived in Xenoblade Chronicles 3, with its thrilling Future Redeemed DLC. Of course, a new story also means new monsters, so once more the time has come to explore the expansive world of Aionios and with it, discover a new variety of Unique Monsters.

In typical Miketendo64 fashion, we’re on hand to chronicle these new thrilling monstrosities, as we list and detail every Unique Monster Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Future Redeemed has to offer. Before we get on with it though, it is worth pointing out that Unique Monsters are now being handled in a slightly different way, however, as those you encounter in the wild will now appear on your map with a distinctive Unique Monster mark.

Additionally, they also appear in the Enemypaedia, which even before you encounter them, records how many Unique Monsters there are in each area, which only makes it all the easier in keeping track of them all. 

In this focused guide, we are highlighting every Unique Monster we encountered in the Vermillion Woods, and we’re starting with a quick breakdown list of those discoverable:

  • Watchful Valencia (Level 10)
  • Smothering Andante (Level 11)
  • Hilltop Chegwin (Level 13)
  • Treehugger Gerald (Level 14)
  • Cavalier MacBright (Level 23)
  • Fograptor D’nari (Level 37)
  • Radicalized Godwin (Level 43)
  • Fogtrawler Tallstuff (Level 55)
  • Gotthard, the Ethereal (Level 60)

 

Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Future Redeemed | Aurora Shelf Unique Monsters Guide:

Watchful Valencia

Level: 10

Location: Ragrinar Passage. From the Elevator, Upper Landing Landmark, head north, making sure to enter a large ravine. Watchful Valencia will soon appear in the center of it.

Smothering Andante

Level: 11

Location: Gaur Viaduct. From the Elevator, Upper Landing Landmark, making sure not to enter the deep ravine. Stroll past the smaller enemies to find the Smothering Andante roaming around.

Hilltop Chegwin

Level: 13

Location: North of Zalmor’s Falls. From the Elevator, Upper Landing Landmark, head north west, passing Zalmor’s Falls and into territory occupied by Tirkins. The Hilltop Chegwin will be among them.

Treehugger Gerald

Level: 14

Location: Waypoint Sapling. From the Echoes of Gran Dell Citadel Landmark, head east, making sure to enter a clearing, occupied by many enemies, including the Treehugger Gerald.

Cavalier MacBright

Level: 23

Location: Agni’s Tomb Ruins. This can actually be a tricky one to find as one of the map levels for Aurora Shelf will show it elsewhere. However, by starting from the Elevator Landing Camp Rest Spot, head west until you drop off a ledge. Face back towards the direction of the Rest Spot and you should see a cave opening.

Enter it to enter Agni’s Tomb Ruins and make sure to follow the pathway all the way until the end. Pass the Affinity Scene way point and continue going forwards, enter the open grave and you will come across Cavalier MacBright guarding a Relic.

Fograptor D’nari

Level: 37

Location: Zalmor’s Thawtunnels. From the Declessa Altar Landmark, head west and then follow the path down and around, until you almost completely come back on yourself from where you started. You should now see the Fograptor D’nari in front of you.

Radicalized Godwin (Chapter 4 Onwards)

Level: 43

Location: Exile Fortress Ruins. From the Pioneer’s Point Landmark, head east, to find the ruins, home to Radicalized Godwin.

Fogtrawler Tallstuff

Level: 55

Location: Sullied Temple of Abitalia. From the Ferronis Crater Landmark, head south to find the Fogtrawler Tallstuff.

Fogtrawler Tallstuff

Level: 60

Location: Sullied Temple of Abitalia. From the Ferronis Crater Landmark, head southeast, pass the Fogtrawler Tallstuff to discover the sleeping Gotthard, the Ethereal.

In typical Xenoblade Chronicles fashion, defeated Unique Monsters can be battled as many times as you wish, as long as you interact with their grave.
