Once more, Nintendo has revealed the latest line-up of their 10 bestselling titles on the Nintendo Switch and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild continues to a contender, now sitting at a total of 17.41 million sales.

However, sales for the game do go beyond that since Breath of the Wild was both a launch title for the Nintendo Switch and the last Nintendo published title for the Nintendo Wii U.

Although more recent sales figures for the Wii U version haven’t been disclosed in quite some time, it was last reported the Wii U version had amassed 1.61 million sales, which when combined with the 17.41 million sales on Switch, brings it to 19.02 million. Not bad for a game that released a little over 3 years ago. (March 3, 2017)

Moreover, since Breath of the Wild did ship 1.07 million copies between January 1, 2020-March 31, 2020, there is every chance that this bestselling Zelda game could smash the 20 million barrier before this year is over. We can certainly hope.
