Stardew Valley

Hi everyone!
Christmas is such a busy time of the year… But now it is time to kick back and finally enjoy the holiday season!
So, sorry that I am late!
I promised a few recommendations for the holidays, maybe as a gift for yourself, too. There you go, hope you enjoy it!

(Note: Completely random order and not sorted as my favourites!)

Blossom Tales

The title around Lily is so sweet and charming, seeing it getting a physical release on Limited Run Games is not only long overdue, but also more than just deserved. Rescue the kingdom as the brave and feisty Lily in a game reminding yourself a lot of Zelda – not only because of its visuals!

Grandia Collection

Discounted on the EU eShop, the Grandia Collection is well worth your money. Containing two RPGs more than 30 hours long, you seriously won’t get bored out soon. Grandia 1, originally released on the PS One, tells the story of Justin, a boy discovering a whole new world because he sets out to find his lost father.
Grandia 2 has a new cast and new story around the mercenary Ryudo. Your typical cold egoist at first, he soon finds out that the world needs him to change and – more important – Elena does. Since a secret surrounds her, needing urgent aid, the protagonist is left no choice to overcome his old habits.

Untitled Goose Game

It’s a lovely day in the village and you are a horrible goose.
This probably sums up the whole essence of Untitled Goose Game. You are a goose and you prank the villagers while they live their daily life. And believe me – it’s fun!
The only reason staying away from it is the total amount you can play this game. Some people found it too short considering you only focus on the main things to do instead of getting lost in all the games possibilities. You could als wait for a sale, so you could snatch it with your own beak yourself!

Ori and the Blind Forest

Wonderful game that I played on the XBox One, currently 30% off. Ori is the protagonist set on a task to save the forest from dying in this action-platformer. If you aren’t busy and challenged in this game, take a deep breath and admire the stunningly beautiful world around you.

Final Fantasy 7-10-2 / 12

I don’t need to tell you anything about them, right? All discounted, starting with FF 8 being 33% off up to half price on FF 12 and both (!) 10/10-2, this is an incredible opportunity to (double-)dip!

Octopath Traveler

If you know me for a while, you know how much I love this RPG made from the Square Enix developer team also responsible for Bravely Default (yay for the announcement of Bravely Default 2!). It’s not everyone’s cup of tea and I respect that; in case you are familiar with me, you also know I do not like Xenoblade Chronicles 2 – which a lot also love to death.
With it’s unique battle system and challenging bosses, Octopath Traveler is a must-have for retro game lovers.

Golf Story

Golf held a special place in my heart ever since, that’s why Golf Story was a hole-in-one for me as well. Sports Story seems to be as equally charming as this title released a few years ago, so take the chance to hit the greens with this sporty RPG!
The list could go on… and on… and on. I did not mention the Ace Attorney Trilogy for example, or Undertale and my all time favorite, Stardew Valley, but let’s keep this list simple! Santa’s having a busy time already! Here are also some suggestions that I haven’t played myself, but those are titles on sale that I own/pre-ordered/only heard good things from:
– Gris (50% off)
– Sparklite (30% off)
– Destiny Connect: Tick-Tock Travelers (20% off)
– The Touryst
– Donut County (50% off)

Do you already own one of these titles or do you have them added to your wishlist? Let me know, as always, in the comments down below!
I want to take this opportunity to announce that I am taking a little break and will be back soon (probably in the end of January and/or mid of February). You can also find me being more or less active on my social media accounts and podcast linked at the end of this article.
This break is for me to recharge the batteries and to concentrate on my job without losing quality on my articles. Thanks for your patience and understanding!

Happy Holidays, dear readers, and also a wonderful year 2020! Wishing you all the best!
