Discolored Pokestops appear in Pokémon GO, Shadow Pokémon become available

Attention Pokémon GO Trainers, Discolored Pokestops have appeared in the world of Pokémon GO. Charmander, Squirtle, Bulbasaur, Rattata, & Zubat can currently be found as of writing.

“Professor Willow: “I’ve noticed an alarming number of reports from Trainers who have found PokéStops that look…discolored?” Trainers, please report any PokéStops that look different with #PokemonGO.”

These strange Pokestops tend to appear when Team GO Rocket is found in the area. Find one of these stops, battle Team Go Rocket, and catch the mysterious Shadow Pokémon that is left behind. These Pokémon have a unique appearance and when purifyed give additional bonuses such as discounted candy to evolve.

After catching said Shadow Pokémon you’ll be able to purify it if you have the Candy/Stardust required.
