Contra Anniversary Collection

Rumours came about yesterday that Konami were going to do something with the Contra IP. Well, it has now been official revealed that Konami are releasing the Konami Contra Anniversary Collection. Much like the other Konami Collections like Arcade Classics or Castlevania Collection, the Contra Anniversary Collection will have a selection of original games during its primary years.

The Contra Anniversary Collection is valued at $19.99 and will release some time during Summer on Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One and PC. It will have 10 games included at launch and another 6 Japanese titles will be added over time. Such titles include:

Contra (Arcade)
Super Contra (Arcade)
Super C (NES)
Contra III: The Alien Wars (SNES)
Contra: Hard Corps (Sega Genesis)
Contra (NES)
Contra (Famicom)
Operation C (Game Boy)
Probotector (Sega Mega Drive)
Super Probotector: Alien Rebels (SNES)

As regards to the Japanese Titles, they are as follows:

– Contra (Arcade)
– Super Contra (Arcade) – known as Super Contra: Alien No Gyakushu in Japan
– Super C – known as Super Contra in Japan
– Contra III: The Alien Wars – known as Contra Spirits in Japan
– Operation C – known as Contra in Japan
– Contra: Hard Corps – known as Contra: The Hard Corps in Japan
