We all know that Zelda: Breath of the Wild was a pretty successful game. Well It has done so well in fact, that in Japan, it is the second highest selling Zelda game in the last 18 years, the first being The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time.
On the Switch alone, Breath of the Wild sold 957,753 units in retail, that is not including digital sales which, would most definitely take the total well over a million. Also worth pointing out is that the latest Wii U version figures are not counted either. This means that Zelda: BOTW has outsold all other Zelda titles that have released in between.
Still, reigning supreme over all other Zelda titles in Japan, Ocarina Of Time has sold around 1.25 million copies, The previous placeholder of second place was Phantom Hourglass which has sold 907,821 units.
