For anyone who has always wanted to use their PayPal account when making purchases in the eShop, instead of using credit cards, debit cards and eShop cards, the time has finally arrived.
The service has been available for the last few hours in Japan but now it is available the world over, and while you can directly use PayPal to make purchases in the Switch eShop, for purchases on Wii U and 3DS, players will need to head to Nintendo’s website to make the purchase. There was also a notification sent out today in the News section of Nintendo Switch, which you can see typed up here:

We’re excited to announce that you ca now link your Nintendo Account to your PayPal account and use PayPal as another fast and convenient way to pay in Nintendo eShop on Nintendo Switch.
What’s more, you can also use PayPal when making purchases in Nintendo eShop through our official website.
Linking you PayPal account to your Nintendo Account is easy – just select PayPal when adding funds to your Nintendo eShop account via the Account information screen then follow the on-screen instruction.

And just in case anyone is interested, unlike every other time when Nintendo Account holders synced their account to something like Facebook and Twitter, there is no My Nintendo mission that will reward you Platinum Points for syncing to PayPal.
