More information has surfaced about Mario Kart 8 Deluxe For The Nintendo Switch thanks to latest video uploaded by Nintendo on their YouTube Channel. The Game boasts 48 courses to race on from the get go including all the original tracks of the Wii U Version and all the DLC tracks. There are 42 characters in total with the return of King Boo, Dry Bones and Bowser Junior will be joining the selection alongside Inkling Boy & Girl from Splatoon.
There are 5 different race speed classes including; 50 cc, 100cc, 150cc, 150cc Mirror & The High Octane 200cc mode will return. Gold Mario will also be an unlockable character if you can complete all 200cc class courses. Miis will also make a return to the asphalt and Splatoon inspired vehicles and parts will be making a new addition to game and a refurbished battle mode which makes brings back the joys and fun of the previous Mario Kart Titles pre-MK8. This time has come to visit Special Maps once more and take on Grand Hero Ursula, but the same special rules apply. You have to beat her without losing on a single unit and while that is easy enough to do for the Hard battle (costs 10 Stamina), Lunatic Difficulty is a whole different ball game (costs 15 stamina.) Beating Ursula will add her to your list of Heroes with a victory in Hard earning you a 3★ Ursula, whereas a victory on the Lunatic difficulty version of the map will see you walk away with a 4★ Ursula. While I was obviously excited for the new Archer Link Amiibo, I was also really curious about the Guardian Amiibo. Maybe it was just in my mind but Guardian looked in the promo shots like one of the biggest Amiibos yet and it was going to cost more than any Amiibo outside of Mega Yarn Yoshi. Then the intrigue grew with rumors that Guardian was cancelled. Fortunately, that rumor proved to be false and in many ways, that makes me appreciate that Guardian is finally released now even more. I’m looking forward to sharing my review of this ground-breaking Amiibo so let’s jump into it!
