[Video] Shantae: Half-Genie Hero’s New Hard Core Mode Gets its Own Official Trailer


A little later today, a free update for Shantae: Half Genie Hero will roll out to all platforms and with it comes the all new Hard Core mode and while the update is not out yet, a new trailer is available for viewing now to get us all in the mood and you can see it right here:

As previously stated in the recent Kickstarter update, the new mode includes the following:

  • Pain and suffering!
  • Harder hitting enemies!
  • Faster enemy patterns!
  • Faster scroll speeds!
  • Remixed enemy locations, and more of ‘em!
  • New Boss patterns, attacks, and stats!
  • Healing Items capped at six!
  • Re-balanced magic items!
  • Poor Shantae!

Breath of the Wild’s Wii U Touch Features were Removed with “Good Reason”


We’ve been waiting for this answer for a long time and now we’ve finally got it!

 

Prior to the decision to bring Breath of the Wid to the Nintendo Switch, the hit Zelda game was to be a Wii U only title that supported “touch features,” but that is no longer the case as those features were removed and we were never really given a reason why. Nintendo Switch First Weekend Impressions

So I’ve spent a weekend putting my new Switch to the test and forming an opinion on the system as a whole. I’ll preface this by saying that I’ve read a number of instances of people having issues — from scratching the screen while docking to dead pixels to blue screens of death and skinning messing up the system’s finishing.

These are all really unfortunate situations, but I will report that on my end, I haven’t seen any of these problems. I’ve been super careful while docking my system, and have already purchased a screen protector (which should arrive Wednesday). I’ve played my Switch several hours every day, and thus far, everything has gone just fine.

Switch Hardware

The Switch itself is just a tablet with a dock and the ability to hook up to controllers on either end. While this is exactly what I expected, it’s still a little…
