It seems that the rumours that arose a couple of weeks ago about a new Paper Mario game were actually true. In the latest Nintendo Direct, it was announced that Paper Mario Colour Splash as it will be called will be gracing us this summer. The story to this game is that Colour is being drained from the world and Paper Mario has to stop it and bring colour back to the world with his paint hammer. From the looks of the gameplay, I am really hoping it will go back to the turn-based RPG mechanic which was much adored by fans of the Thousand Year Door & Paper Mario 64. I must admit I did enjoy that mechanic and felt it was sorely missed in Super Paper Mario on the Wii.
